Is it normal to have one night stands after a long time relationship ends?
I know a number of people, myself included, who had a number of one night stands after they broke up with a long time significant other. Do most people feel the urge to sleep with someone else when their relationship has ended? Do you think that it depends on whether or not the relationship ended on good terms? Why do you think that people have one night stands right after a breakup?

I think it's pretty normal for people to hook up post break up. You were attracted to that person to begin with, just because things didn't work out it doesn't change that fact. I don't think the terms of the breakup matter either, unless it's something HUGE like the person was married and never mentioned it, had AIDS, or just something absolutely horrible. I think people have one night stands right after a breakup for many reasons, because old habits die hard, maybe even for some closure, or just because you want to have sex with someone that doesn't gross you out.
